Through The Veil

Through The Veil
I long felt the weight heavy on my skin
dropping over my face
My vision impaired
Forcing my head to bow
With hands shut up to sky

My eyes rained like tear drops from the sky
I felt the clouds rumble
Emotions rise deep from a sleepy mind
Then through the veil
I beheld a tiny light

As I picked up pace
I lost sight of time
Seeing the finished line,  I was swallowed in  smiles
Like the Jewish  coat of colours
And years of surplus

The clouds rumbled again and again
Drying my eyes off its heavy rain
With face swallowed in smiles
As a clear view came through the veil

Oh I wait
I wait and smile
From the dark
I see the light.
